Have poor Zexi’s ears ever recovered from all of that “horrible” honking?
I was one of about 200 people who were at the launch of the FREEDOM CONVOY — from the Nordel Weigh Station in Delta, BC — in the early (dark, damp and foggy) morning of Sunday, January 23, 2022. At that time, the FREEDOM CONVOY was also known as the CONVOY for FREEDOM.
Even though I never left the west coast that day (I wanted to go all the way to Ottawa, but just couldn’t…one of the biggest regrets of my life), I feel extremely responsible for at least some of that honking, so I encourage Zexi to come after me and charge me.
You see, a couple days prior to the launch, I made a banner that was about 60 feet long. Using high-vis sign material (each sheet was 28″ high and 22″ wide…taped together and folded up like an accordion), a can of black paint and a 4-inch paint brush, painting one letter on each sheet, the message was, “HONK FOR THE CONVOY FOR FREEDOM!” About half an hour before the launch, my brother and I — and several truckers — held the banner in front of several trucks while many people (including the $tate-$pon$ored media…CBC, CTV and Global) took pictures.
COME AND GET ME, ZEXI! (damn, where are the haha emojis?) 😎 😎 😎
